The past three years have been a real rollercoaster. I’ve lived and worked through a global pandemic, I’ve launched several books, some more successfully than others, and…

I’ve been writing on Medium for almost three years.

First, I love writing, so it’s been fun writing on Medium (at times).

I love writing about family history, Singapore stories, and other things that interest me, like doing slides or giving lectures.

However, at other times, like I’ve shared, it’s brutally challenging writing on Medium.

Second, I love people too.

As such, I am also quite delighted to have made a few online friends, like Dean Koh and Francis Laleman; reconnected with a few actual friends, like Dr Joel Yong, PhD; and continued connecting online with my real world friends, like Bernard Yeo.

The list of friends is too long to cover here, but I didn’t think it would make sense to tag literally hundreds of other kind, supportive, and encouraging people.
